The next step is to wipe the wood of the curio cabinet; you must begin in the inside of the cabinet with the dusting cloth. If you decide not to get rid of your objects move them aside or lift them as you dust under and around them. Wipe in a gentle rubbing motion using more furniture spray if needed. The fifth step is to polish the outside wood of the cabinet by rubbing in a rounded motion with the dusting cloth and furniture dusting polish spray. Maintain the wood moistened with the spray so the cloth glides over the wood with no abrasiveness. The next step is to spray window cleaner onto the glass doors (and glass shelves if your curio has them) and make use of the paper towels to wipe in a rounded motion the inside and the outside of the glass.
They are usually accented with a light too. Basically a curio cabinet is a place where you can display all of the things that you are proud of or things that are dear to your heart. A curio cabinet can be made to fit in a corner or to stand proud against a wall so they dont take up much room. In fact curio cabinets are tall and skinny. They have about five or so shelves that are made out of glass. However you can get a curio in the shape of a short cabinet or table. They are the more modern curios but they can give any room a sparkle. Another way that curio cabinets are made are in the form of a wall hanging. A wall hanging may not be the best to trust a collection or valuables.
Estate Sales - Another great place to find curio cabinets at a fraction of the cost that you would find them new is at estate sales. Estate sales are sales when all the items in a home are sold off. Usually it is because the person who lived in the home has died and their family has decided to liquidate all their belongings and split the money. While it may be a sad thing to think about it is a great time to do a little shopping for curio cabinets. Often furniture in this type of sale is in perfect condition and only being sold because the owner has passed away. Auctions - There are plenty of furniture auctions out there. From auctions for overstocked furniture from stores to the furniture that had been in homes and businesses that are being sold off there are plenty of great deals to be found. Antique Shops - If you are looking for curio cabinets that are a little older to suit the antique décor of your home you may want to start checking out antique shops in your area for pieces that will fit perfectly into your home.
